The Northern Poconos Mobile Farm Market’s mission is to offer an accessible, affordable, and more equitable method for consumers to purchase fresh, local products.

The vision of the mobile market is to connect rural residents with their local food system by bringing seasonal produce and local products closer to their doorsteps, reducing barriers to access, and providing greater purchasing power. While the mobile market will reach underserved consumers by accepting SNAP/EBT, it will also be accessible by all community members and benefit small businesses by increasing market opportunities. Through educational opportunities, voucher incentives, and social connection, the mobile market will inspire fresh food meal choices, and create a deeper sense of community.

The Cooperage Project and Wayne County partners have developed an incentive program for community members to shop at our local farmers' markets. NEAR (Nutrition Education and Awareness Rewards) Cash is a nutrition rewards program to support our local food system’s consumers and producers.
